The Music Department of Sandhills Community College will present its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:00pm in Owens Auditorium.

The SCC Choir under the direction of Jennifer Thomas will present a set of English madrigals, an ode to jazz great Duke Ellington and, in honor of its 50th anniversary, a medley of songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music" featuring student soloists and guest artist Rick Smith. The SCC Guitar Ensemble under the direction of Ryan Book will be performing as well as graduating music students. Rounding out the program will be the debut performance of the newly-formed SCC Gospel Choir "Hearts of Worship" which is an official student-run club of the college.

Graduating students include pianist Rachel Callicutt, guitarists Boe Snipes, violinist Paige Highberger, Ramiro Rodriguez and Sarah Price, vocalists Lenisha McCollum and Asheigh Upadhaya. This is a free concert open to the public.

This concert promises to be a one-of-a-kind musical event you will not want to miss! Bring your friends and family and enjoy the live music experience!
